Students at Work

The past two weeks have been busy for my students and me. However, as I’ve become more experienced, and less anal-retentive, I am allowing my Twosies to do more of the lifting to prepare for their final exam. Both sections have just completed constructing their final exam review packet. We’ve covered five chapters over the course of the year. Given that each class has ten students, a pair of students created review activities for a given chapter.

Why this works:

Students took the process of creating activities for their classmates seriously. They also were actually reviewing, re-learning and practicing the vocabulary and grammar structures as they created the activities. Students prepared a combination of activities, which included word puzzles, matching, fill-in, translation, and picture identification.

I am proud of their work.
