A Strange But Fitting Combination

As I was searching the ‘Net for inspiration this morning, I found the following quote on the Education Week website:

COMMENT OF THE DAY
Pouring money to save teacher jobs may help keep more teachers employed this year, but it will not fix the larger system. Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? — rmeducation

In a rather strange manner, the aforementioned quote is quite fitting on this July 4th holiday. Which is to say: It is a very good thing that those brave men stepped up on principle to sign the Declaration of Independence, and decided to do things differently because what had gone before wasn’t working.

Such a travesty we cannot seem to learn from the present, let alone history.
