Well, you know the rest.
However, I didn’t heed the aforementioned adage with respect to purchasing products as I progress through my transitioning journey. In other words, the products that I used when I was getting regular relaxer touch-ups would have been more than fine as I work with two textures – natural and relaxed. However, I was enticed by the myriad of advice and opinions from current and former transitioners regarding hair care products, especially those that are silicone-free and sulfate-free, aka natural hair products. So, I purchased almost two hundred dollars’ worth of natural hair products, including shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins and oils, which, for the most part, haven’t worked to my full satisfaction.
Anyway, I’ve returned to my former loves: Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo, and Keracare Humetco Conditioner. I also purchased a new leave-in/detangler, which I have tested on my dry new growth. So, during my next wash day, I will test it out full-throttle on wet hair.
how very true.
so often we buy into trends whilst the good old might be the solution.
